PLANNING YOUR DAS SOLUTION


At Telcosat, we understand that much of the terminology surrounding Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) may not be part of your everyday vocabulary. To simplify the process, we have developed an easy to understand turn-key solution that manages every aspect of the design, installation, in a step by step guide.
By the end of this process, you will feel confident and fluent in the technical details pertaining to DAS to assist you in the installation of your DAS .

SITE SURVEY

The first step in creating your DAS solution is to conduct a site survey. Either a Telcosat representative or your or designated technical person, will visit your location to take signal measurement inside the building and also exterior to the building.

Additionally to aid the creation of a scaled 3D model we would request a layout drawing of the building. Creating a 3D scaled model will allow for precise location of hardware and also create an accurate bill of materials for your budget.

TECHNICAL REPORT

Based on the survey results, Telcosat will prepare a detailed technical report that will include the following.

1) An analysis of existing signal strengths.
2) An initial conceptual plan for the installation.
3)An overview of the expected coverage area, equipment and material list for the project


The installation plan will be a "living document" evolving as we progress through the design phase.

INSTALLATION

You have the flexibility to choose your own preferred contractor for the installation. Telcosat Inc will provide technical support throughout the process. If required a Telcosat Inc technical person can  be requested to be onsite to offer assistance.

COMMISSIONING

We recommend a Telcosat Inc technical person be onsite with test equipment to assist in the signal level adjustments/measurements phase.

A  Telcosat Inc representative will also be available to assist in any technical issues that were created during the install process.
